The Treasurer confirmed that she did make a talk to new parents and requested new Committee members, she also sold second hand uniform. The Treasurer will talk to parents again on all change day. It was suggested that the Treasurer could talk to parents at the Autumn meeting also. Stuart Hancock volunteered to come also and talk as a parent.
9. Feedback from Car Boot Sale (05.06.10)
The Treasurer confirmed that £90.65 was raised at the Slepe Hall Car Boot Sale (£80 pitches, £30.65 items from Spring Fayre and £21 on second hand school uniform).
10. Preparations for Pavilion Playgroup Car Boot Sale (12.06.10)
The Committee agreed that there were sufficient helpers and goods to sell for this event.
11. Feedback from Spring Fayre (22.05.10)
The Committee were disappointed that the Fayre only raised £374.08 (2009 raised £927.88) but felt this was due to the hot weather, three Infant pupils holding birthday parties and the fayre at Hemingford School. The Committee also felt that less goods were donated. The Committee suggested asking for donations on different weeks as opposed to one letter for all and giving prizes to those making the most donations. Another suggestion was to make classes responsible for collecting different items. The Committee felt a poster competition may help as would promoting the Fayre in assembly more frequently.
12. Preparations for Year 6 Leavers Disco (20.07.10)
The Committee asked if the Head minded games such as beans in a bucket, doughnuts on a string etc. to take place. Tickets will include a slice of pizza and a drink. Tickets will be free, but children must obtain a ticket in advance to gain entrance. Crisps and drinks will be sold at the event at normal disco prices. FOTS will donate £100 towards this event. Prizes will need to be found. Prices for pizza will be sought and Year 6 children’s views on what they would like to do.
