Who Are We? As parents of children attending Thorndown Schools you automatically become members of Friends of Thorndown Schools (FOTS). We are a group of parents, staff and friends of the Schools who have joined together to form a charity to raise funds for both Schools. These funds are equally shared between the Schools for extra equipment, books, computers, furnishings and anything the staff request for the benefit of the children that cannot be sustained by the tight school budgets. We are a very successful committee. This has only been made possible by the support we receive from yourselves at the fund raising events. We hold fund raisers almost on a monthly basis. These are varied in order to try and cater for everyones tastes. We have family discos, bingo evenings, a Christmas Fayre, quiz nights, car boot sales and anything else we can think of. Please take a look at our forthcoming events.
Why Not Join Us? We're always glad of new Committee members and helpers, why not give it a try? Please contact a FOTS Committee member if you're interested. It is a fantastic way of meeting new friends whilst providing invaluable support for the schools. A box for your suggestions, ideas and any other comments is now available in the Juniors Reception area and Infants Library area.
